Meridiana and Domodedovo Launch Flights between Moscow and Milan

March 22, 2017, Domodedovo, Moscow Region. Moscow Domodedovo Airport, ranked the best airport in Russia, and the airline Meridiana announced the launch of a new route between Moscow and Milan. Meridiana's first flight on the route Milan - Moscow took place March 22, 2017.
Flights are scheduled three times a week - on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. After May 7, the flight frequency will increase with another flight to be added on Sunday. The flight time is 3.5 hours, with departure from Moscow Domodedovo Airport at 12:10 (Moscow time), departure from Milan Malpensa Airport at 6:55 (local time). Flights on the route will be operated by Boeing 737-800 aircraft with 168 seats in economy class and 14 seats in Electa business class. Starting in June 2017, Meridiana will resume regular flights Olbia (Costa Smeralda) - Moscow (Domodedovo) - Olbia (Costa Smeralda).

Milan is the 11th destination in Moscow Domodedovo Airport's route network linking Russia and Italy. Currently, the airport's airline partners fly to Verona, Genoa, Pisa, Naples, Venice, Olbia, Rimini, Turin, Catania, Lamezia, and Milan. In 2016, passenger traffic from Moscow Domodedovo Airport to destinations in Italy grew by 22% compared to 2015.
