Domodedovo served more than 2 million passengers in January
19 February 2018, Domodedovo, Moscow Region. Airports Council International Europe (ACI Europe) published a report of passenger flow at European airports in 2017. Based on the research Domodedovo was included in the top 5 fastest growing airports in Europe, with a rate of +7,6% in comparison to 2016.
In 2018 there is a continuation in growth of passenger flow at Domodedovo to international destinations. In January passenger traffic to distant foreign countries increased by 8,7%. The most dynamic growing destinations are Dubai, Antalya, Doha, Barcelona and Nha Trang, with total passenger flow of 150 thousand people, which is higher by 33% to the same time last year. Over the first month of 2018 Domodedovo served over 862 thousand passengers of international airlines.
Traffic flow on local airlines exceeded 1,2 million passengers. The most active passenger growth has been to Penza, Simferopol, Kemerovo, Samara and Stavropol. 170 thousand people chose Domodedovo to fly to these destinations. That’s more than in January last year by 22,5%.
Total passenger traffic flow in January was 2,07 million people.
In January Cargo traffic flow at Domodedovo was 10,1 thousand tons.
