New Generation CCTV Installed at Moscow Domodedovo Airport

June 20, 2017, Domodedovo, Moscow Region. Moscow's Moscow Domodedovo Airport has implemented a new CCTV technology - Panomera multifocal system. Designed specifically for video monitoring of large areas, it delivers a panoramic image of high quality.

«Panomera is part of Domodedovo's project to upgrade its CCTV system. As part of project, 1,700 new generation cameras have already been installed throughout the airport. There are also 120 video analytics channels that improve the security level and quality of passenger services at the airport»,— commented Mr. Alexey Medvedev, Project Manager at Domodedovo Integration.

Panomera has approximately 20 cameras combined in a single unit and capable of monitoring objects at a distance of up to 2.5 km. Camera output is processed by special software to generate a high quality panoramic image. The operator can display a detailed view of any part of the panorama, both in real time and from the archive. This is a sought-after function, especially when providing assistance to law enforcement and supervisory agencies.

The system sends a detailed image of remote objects in HD in real time. Recording speed is up to 30 frames per second. Panomera supports video surveillance of huge areas from a single installation.

«Together with Domodedovo Integration team, we have successfully implemented a large-scale project for the deployment of a hi-tech CCTV system at Moscow Domodedovo Airport. Among other factors, it's the professionalism of our team and partners at DME that has made this possible - the work had to be done at an airport operating 24/7, with zero tolerance for downtime and delays. Moscow Domodedovo Airport is the absolute leader and innovator in the field of advanced security technologies. Domodedovo was the first airport in Russia to deploy the multifocal system Panomera by the German vendor Dallmeier»,— stressed Mr. Vasily Podolsky, CEO at Cable Technologies Bureau, one of the DME's project partners.

The project was implemented by Domodedovo Integration, the airport's dedicated unit responsible for the development of IT solutions and more than 100 IT projects. These include comprehensive projects for the upgrade of video surveillance systems, resource planning and management, management of the centralized aircraft refueling system, as well as the development of the airport's official mobile apps.
