85,000 m² of Cleanliness per Day
Tests of cleaning robots were conducted at Domodedovo International Airport. Over the course of two weeks, the airport tested automatic cleaners from various manufacturers that are leaders in service robotics.
The use of artificial intelligence increases the productivity of the cleaning robot on a single charge from 2,000 m²/h to 6,000 m²/h due to targeted spot cleaning. This allows for cleaning up to 85,000 m² per day, which is especially relevant for large areas with a constant passenger flow.
Cleaning the interior of the airport terminal area by a robot allows the process to be adapted in real time. For example, when wet spots are detected, the robot raises the sweeping unit, preventing secondary contamination. To remove stubborn dirt, the system automatically increases the pressure and rotation speed of the disc brushes, as well as the supply of water and cleaning agent, ensuring perfect cleanliness in a single cleaning session.
The advanced motion sensor system ensures stable navigation even in high‑traffic conditions and changing environments, making the robot completely safe for passengers.
Domodedovo International Airport is constantly exploring advanced technologies to ensure passengers’ comfort in the terminals.
