29 December 2017, Domodedovo, Moscow Region. Moscow Domodedovo Airport recaps the year’s achievements. It was a year marked by the implementation of important technology and construction projects, active preparations for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, and introduction of the new and modern services for passengers.
January
The Tax Free system was launched. Now Russian citizens can claim the VAT refund on their purchases abroad in the passenger terminal at Moscow Domodedovo Airport.
February
Moscow Domodedovo Airport was awarded The Best Airport in Russia according to Russia's Air Gateway rating
Moscow Domodedovo Airport successfully passed audits of its infrastructure and processes by FIFA and Russia-2018 World Cup Organizing Committee and is officially ready to welcome the teams playing at the World Cup.
March
A new Aeroexpress train platform was put into operation at Moscow Domodedovo Airport. The new platform is part of the train operator's infrastructure development program at the airport.
The airport completed a major upgrade of the Resource Management System (RMS). This information system plans the use of the airport's assets in real time — parking stands, check-in counters, departure gates — and distributes tasks among employees. In total, more than 100 operations have been automated.
Moscow Domodedovo Airport together with AirBridgeCargo held its first cargo aircraft spotting event.
Moscow Domodedovo Airport won in two categories at the 20th Anniversary Wings of Russia Awards. Domodedovo won in these categories: Airport of the Year 2016 and Two Decades' Project in Civil Aviation.

On April 7, Moscow Domodedovo Airport celebrated its 55th anniversary.
Federal Air Transport Agency approved the first phase of the third segment of the passenger terminal (T3).
The airport launched its mobile app DME. The user can choose to sign up for push-notifications on flight status, add flights to My Flights quick access tab, scan the boarding pass to quickly find the flight in the online departures board. The app contains information about airport services, stores and restaurants in the terminal, offers prompt access to emergency services and information desks.

Moscow Domodedovo Airport switched to the new generation of X-ray introscopes. This is an advanced dual view baggage screening system with a smart function of automated detection of liquid and solid explosives.
Rosaviatsia certified Moscow Domodedovo Airport to conduct training in the field of aviation security for all airports, airlines, and aircraft operators in Russia.
Moscow Domodedovo Airport started the trial operation of the Passenger Access Control (PAC) system, which automatically uses the bar code on the boarding pass to determine the passenger’s departure segment and checks the flight status.
June
ING Bank N.V. provided long-term financing for an automatic baggage sorting system (ACCS) in the passenger terminal segment T2, which is under construction.
August
Moscow Domodedovo Airport ranked in the top 5 of Europe's fastest growing airports by passenger traffic in the first half of 2017, according to Airports Council International Europe (ACI Europe).
A fleet renewal project was undertaken of the S-Bus shuttle that passengers can use to reach remote car parks at the airport.
Moscow Domodedovo Airport and Granel Group have signed an agreement on the construction of a five-star hotel in close proximity to the airport.
September
The international rating agency Fitch Ratings affirmed the credit rating of DME Group at ВВ+ with a stable outlook.
A new hotel opened in the passenger terminal of Moscow Domodedovo Airport.
Moscow Domodedovo Airport was included in the top five largest European airports based on its performance in September 2017. The rating of the fastest growing airports was published by ACI Europe.

The first jet bridge was installed in the new T2 segment of the terminal at Moscow Domodedovo Airport.
The first double decker Aeroexpress train arrived at Moscow Domodedovo Airport.
Test operation of eGate turnstiles started at the airport. This technology allows unsupervised boarding of the aircraft.
New seats with power outlets and USB ports for charging mobile devices were installed in the lounges at Moscow Domodedovo Airport.
Analytical Credit Rating Agency (ACRA) assigned a credit rating of A+ (RU) to DME Group, the outlook is stable.
December
The airport launched a new mobile app DME Parking allowing to pay parking fees and buy season tickets without any extra charges.
The airport successfully issued ruble bonds of the series 001R-01 for a total amount of 10 bill rubles with a coupon rate of 8.1% p.a. Maturity is 5 years, the coupon period is 182 days. Domodedovo Fuel Facilities acted as the issuer. The Lead managers are VTB Capital and Raiffeisenbank.
Moscow Domodedovo Airport and Japan's flag carrier Japan Airlines celebrated 10 years of cooperation. The airport has handled more than 1,750 flights and more than 467,000 passengers for the airline from December 2007.
