Moscow Domodedovo Airport announced consolidated financial results for the nine-month period ended 30 September 2017

31 January 2018, Domodedovo, Moscow Region. Moscow Domodedovo Airport (hereinafter ‘DME Limited Group’) today published interim condensed consolidated financial information for the nine-month period ended 30 September 2017.

The DME Limited Group revenue amounted RUB 31 086 million which was 7.9% higher compared to January–September 2016. For the third quarter the revenue increase was 15.4% to the same period of the previous year. The adjusted EBITDA of the Group increased by 3.1% compared to the nine-months period 2016 and amounted 11 726 million rubles.

The Group’s net profit for the nine-month period 2017 was RUB 6 987 million which was 10.4% higher than January–September 2016 figure. The net profit for the third quarter increased by 24.3% compared to the nine-month period 2016 and totalled RUB 3 306 million.

The DME Limited Group revenue amounted RUB 31 086 million which was 7.9% higher compared to January–September 2016. For the third quarter the revenue increase was 15.4% to the same period of the previous year. The adjusted EBITDA of the Group increased by 3.1% compared to the nine-months period 2016 and amounted 11 726 million rubles.

The Group maintains its high profitability. Adjusted EBITDA margin for the nine-month period was 38% and net profit margin was 22%.

The debt burden is on the moderate level: Net Debt to last twelve months adjusted EBITDA ratio was 2.18 for the period ended September 30, 2017.

The positive dynamic in Group’s income linked to market growth and Group operational results increase. For the nine-month period 2017 Moscow Domodedovo Airport serviced 24.04 million passengers which was 8.3% higher than the level for the same period of the previous year. The cargo traffic increased by 10.9% and was 110 495 thousand tons for January—September 2017.

The international air traffic increased by 17.4% to 10.9 million passengers. Recovery of international air routes demand had a positive impact on the foreign airlines traffic. For the nine-month period 2017 4.9 million passengers were carried by foreign airlines from Moscow Domodedovo Airport, which was 10.7% higher compared to the same period 2016.

Notes:

The auxiliary aviation services segment includes a set of services connected with passenger handling, ground handling of aircraft, aircraft fuelling, provision of in-flight catering, and cargo handling. The commercial services segment includes revenues from renting out space and advertising surfaces, as well as parking revenues.

EBITDA is calculated as the pre-taxation profit after adding back any amount of depreciation of tangible assets and amortization of intangible assets before taking into account any amount of interest expense commission, fees, discounts, prepayment fees, impairment of restricted cash balances, premiums or charges and other finance payments, whether paid, payable or capitalized less interest income and before taking into account any items treated as exceptional or extraordinary items including, without limitation, any amount in relation to foreign exchange gain or loss or gains or losses on any derivative instrument and revaluation of an asset or any gain or loss of book value arising on the disposal of any asset.

Adjusted EBITDA is calculated as operating profit plus depreciation and amortization and adjusted for changes in provision for impairment of receivables and advances to suppliers and changes in legal provision.
