In 2016, the reconstruction project of the western segment of the terminal T1 for a total value of more than RUB 20.5 billion will be completed. Total area of T1 will exceed 256,000 sq. m. Construction of a new segment of the passenger terminal T2 with a floor area of 232,400 sq. m is underway. By the time the FIFA World Cup opens in 2018, total investment volume in T2 will surpass RUB 27 billion and the combined annual capacity of the airport's passenger terminal (T1 + T2) will exceed 45 million passengers.
As early as in 2016, in the vicinity of the terminal T2 one of the contemplated multilevel car parks will be built with a floor area of 126,000 sq. m and 3,500 parking spaces. To finance the car park, Moscow Domodedovo Airport has secured a EUR 38 million credit facility from Raiffeisen Bank International AG.
In addition to being a key transport infrastructure element of Moscow Aviation Hub, Moscow Domodedovo Airport is a participant of the preparations for the FIFA World Cup to be held in 2018 in Russia and of the Federal Program for the Development of Russia's Transportation System in 2010-2020. Moscow Domodedovo Airport abides by its commitments as part of the program and is actively working on the relevant development and infrastructure projects.
