DOMODEDOVO AIRPORT HOSTS A ROUND TABLE FOR INDUSTRY EXPERTS TO DISCUSS WORK WITH SERVICE-SENTITIVE PASSENGERS
A round table discussion on service-sensitive passengers was held at Moscow Domodedovo Airport. Colleagues from the airports of Moscow Aviation Hub, as well as from Pulkovo Airport in St. Petersburg, shared their experience of working with passengers having health conditions or accessibility needs.
“Service-sensitive passengers need attention and care more than others during their journey,” reckons Sergey Makhnev, Head of the Medical & Social Cluster, Chief Medical Officer of Domodedovo Airport. “We offer versatile medical services to cater to their needs: both emergency care, if necessary, and consulting support; Family Service, which has transformed from a mother-and-child room into a full–fledged family stay center at the airport; a range of services for passengers with restricted mobility - assistance with movement, a separate waiting room, support at all stages of the airport service. We have recast our approach to working with these categories of passengers and combined services for them into a single medical & social cluster. This step produced a synergistic effect and allowed us to improve the quality of services, as well as to create a new competitive advantage keynote for passengers when choosing an airport.”
