Fresh strawberries and flowers became ‘Cargos of the week’ at Domodedovo Airport in the run-up to 8th march
Domodedovo Airport successfully provided the reception and dispatch of flowers and fresh fruit during the period of peak demand on the eve of International Women's Day. It is noteworthy that most of the flower cargo went on from Moscow to various regions of Russia- Barnaul, Blagoveshchensk, Kyzyl, Murmansk, Nadym, Novy Urengoy, Chita and others. Almost 25 tons of fresh fruit were also shipped to Barnaul, Irkutsk, Ulan-Ude, Norilsk, Novokuznetsk.
When processing flowers, special attention is paid to observing the temperature regime and ensuring optimal storage conditions to preserve freshness of transported products. Domodedovo Cargo Complex has specialized storage facilities with a controlled microclimate allowing to maintain the required temperature and humidity. Air transportation of flowers is carried out in strict accordance with international standards and requirements for this type of cargo. During processing and storage, special technologies are used that minimize the risks of damage to the goods and ensure their safety at all stages.
