Official Announcement of Moscow Domodedovo Airport
The Russian civil aviation has been demonstrating
stable growth for over a decade already. At the same time its ground
infrastructure needs development. In our opinion, this need is fully recognized
at the state level.
The country’s government is going to invest
significant amounts of money into development of the Moscow aviation hub, with
the following system criteria to be observed: all participants of projects for
the ground infrastructure development are under the Russian jurisdiction and
their ultimate owners are known. We
agree that such conditions are fair.
In this connection we deem it necessary to publish the
information that the entities carrying out airport activities in
Domodedovo according to the national-type certificates and licenses are under
the Russian jurisdiction, and their ultimate owner is a Russian citizen Dmitry
Kamenshchik.
Moscow Domodedovo Airport — is the
largest one of Russia, in 2012 the airport served 28,2 million people. It joins
the category of the largest airports in Europe on the classification of the
Airports Council International (ACI) and on results of 2012 became one of three
European airports with the highest dynamic development. Since 2009 it is ranked
as the best airport in Eastern Europe by Skytrax. Domodedovo is chosen for
flights by member airlines of two largest global airline alliances — Star
Alliance and oneworld.
