DME Passenger Traffic Grew 10% in H1 2017

July 18, 2017, Domodedovo, Moscow Region. In the first six months of 2017, Moscow's Moscow Domodedovo Airport maintained the double-digit growth rates. Between January and June, the passenger traffic amounted to 14 million. This is 10% more than same period last year.

In the first half of 2017, the domestic passenger traffic grew by up to 5%. The airport handled 8 million passengers. Of these, more than 1.6 million traveled via DME in June alone. The most popular destinations remain the same: Krasnodar, Ufa, Barnaul, and Krasnoyarsk.

In the first half of 2017, the international passenger traffic grew by 18% to more than 6 million. In June alone, 1.4 million tourists traveled to international destinations. The most popular destinations in January-June were: Dubai, Punta Cana, Barcelona, Dusseldorf, and Bishkek.

Cargo traffic also increased in the first half of 2017. In January-June, the cargo traffic at Moscow Domodedovo Airporttotaled 74,000 tons, which is 15% more than in the first six months of 2016.
