Moscow Domodedovo Airport Joined the Forest of Victory Initiative
May 4, 2017, Domodedovo, Moscow Region. Moscow's Moscow Domodedovo Airport has joined the Forest of Victory Environmental Initiative - an reforestation effort. DME's employees and their families and friends planted almost 6,000 trees on a site designated for Moscow Domodedovo Airport in Ilyinsky Forest District.
«Moscow Domodedovo Airport has an active environmental agenda and was happy to take part in the reforestation effort. We are pleased to see that Domodedovo staff supported the initiative and joined the volunteer movement. Environmental responsibility is the basis for the sustainable development of the company and one of its priorities. It is important that our staff share these values,» said Mr. Igor Borisov, CEO at Moscow Domodedovo Airport.
The Forest of Victory initiative is annually held in Moscow Region since 2013. DME staff members worked under the guidance of experienced foresters from the Forestry Committee and Ilyinsky Forest District, who showed them how to plant seedlings, explained tree biology, and the problems of forest restoration.
