Simferopol and Saint-Petersburg made it to the top-5 domestic destinations at Moscow Domodedovo Airport
17 May, 2019. Domodedovo, Moscow region. Moscow Domodedovo Airport has published its passenger traffic during May public holidays lasting from April 30 till May 12. The airport handled more than 1 billion passengers in the mentioned period. Simferopol, Saint-Petersburg and Sochi were the most popular domestic destinations during the holidays.
Passenger traffic to Simferopol surpassed 59 thousand people. Saint-Petersburg (52 thousand passengers), Sochi (49 thousand passengers) and Novosibirsk (30 thousand passengers) also ranked among the most popular domestic destinations. Overall domestic passenger traffic at Moscow Domodedovo Airport amounted to 569 thousand passengers.
Antalya has become the leading international destination during the May public holidays with 73 thousand passengers. Dubai (29 thousand passengers), Yerevan (23 thousand passengers), Minsk (17 thousand passengers) and Munich (15 thousand passengers) ranked among the most popular international destinations. Overall international passenger traffic reached 483 thousand travelers.
Moscow Domodedovo Airport registered the highest passenger traffic on May 1 (85 thousand passengers), May 4 (85,5 thousand passengers) and May 5 (89,4 thousand passengers).
