Emirates and Domodedovo Airport: 20 years together
Moscow Domodedovo Airport and one of the largest airlines in the world — Emirates — celebrate the 20th anniversary of cooperation.
By June 30, Domodedovo Airport will prepare a surprise for the airline's passengers: in honor of a significant event, sweet gifts from the airline's On-board Catering Factory will be offered to travelers at the check-in counters decorated with floral arrangements of fresh flowers and balloons
"Last year, Emirates and I celebrated a decade of servicing flights of the world's largest airliner Airbus A380, and this year we are celebrating another anniversary — a 20-year cooperation. Emirates is the leader in passenger traffic in Domodedovo among airlines operating flights to foreign countries. To date, it is the only carrier that carries out regular flights on the A380. It is very significant for us that one of the most dynamically developing airlines in the world offers our passengers service and flight safety at the highest level. We hope that our mutually beneficial cooperation will continue to strengthen over the years, providing new opportunities for the development of civil aviation", said Andrey Pavlov, Director of Moscow Domodedovo Airport.

The history of the partnership between the air harbor and the airline began in July 2003. For 20 years on the Dubai — Moscow (DME) — Dubai route, the companies have jointly served more than 6.6 million passengers. For 5 months of 2023, Emirates traffic increased by 49% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 313 thousand people.
Dubai is one of the most popular destinations of Domodedovo Airport. In the first year of cooperation, the partner of the air harbor operated five flights a week. To date, the carrier operates 14 flights a week from DME on an Airbus A380 airliner and seven flights on a Boeing 777.
It is worth noting that Domodedovo is the only air harbor of the Moscow air hub that has experience in servicing the A380 on a regular basis. Due to its large dimensions, airports that accept this type of aircraft have increased requirements in terms of the parameters of the airfield and the availability of the necessary equipment.
