Domodedovo marks one year since the resumption of flights to the capital of Ethiopia
Moscow Domodedovo Airport and Ethiopian Airlines are celebrating a year since the start of flights on the Addis Ababa (ADD) - Moscow (DME) – Addis Ababa (ADD) route after the resumption of regular flights between Russia and Ethiopia.
"In 2018, with the start of Ethiopian Airlines flights to Domodedovo, the foundation for fruitful cooperation with one of the leading airlines in Africa was laid. We greatly appreciate the partnership established between our companies based on trust, mutual understanding and the desire for the development of the industry. Passengers appreciate the high level of service: for the entire period of joint work, we have served more than 130 thousand travelers," said Andrey Pavlov, Director of Moscow Domodedovo Airport.
Over the past year, passenger traffic on the route amounted to 68 thousand people. Flights from the air harbor to Addis Ababa are operated four times a week: on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Departure from DME at 22:00*, arrival at 7:40.
Due to the high demand for flights in winter, the airline plans to increase the frequency of flights to the capital of Ethiopia from December 2023. So, from December 13 of this year to January 17, 2024, another flight will appear in the airline's schedule: passengers will be able to travel from Moscow Domodedovo Airport to Addis Ababa five times a week.
Ethiopian Airlines is a member of the Star Alliance aviation Alliance, for whose members Domodedovo Airport is the base in Moscow. It is the most dynamically developing company on the continent. The route network of the air harbor partner allows travelers to fly to 57 destinations: from Addis Ababa Airport, for example, passengers can fly connecting flights to Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa, Zanzibar, as well as go to the Seychelles and Madagascar.
