Domodedovo and Munich Airports Signed a Sister Airport Agreement

31 October 2017, Domodedovo, Moscow Region. Moscow Domodedovo Airport and Munich Franz Josef Strauss International Airport signed a partnership agreement. On behalf of the parties, the document was signed by Mr. Dmitry Kamenshchik, Moscow Domodedovo Airport Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Mr. Michael Kerkloh, Munich Airport CEO.

"Munich and Moscow is a partnership between equals. The continuous interactions with our sister airports in America, Asia and Africa help us to maintain and improve on our high quality standards. That makes it an even greater pleasure for me to welcome our first sister airport in Eastern Europe," said Munich Airport CEO Mr. Michael Kerkloh

The partnership is strategic in nature and is aimed at sharing knowledge and best practices in several areas of the airport business — ground handling, transport security, information technology, financial management, HR policy, planning and management of terminal facilities. Within the agreement framework, the partners’ staff members will regularly participate in exchange programs.

Moscow Domodedovo Airport is the seventh “sister” airport of the German airport. Other partners include airports of Denver (USA), Singapore, Beijing (PRC), Nagoya (Japan), and others.
