Domodedovo Airport has hosted the donor day once again
Domodedovo Airport has conducted the Donor Day, which is traditionally organized twice annually, starting from 2011. This year, the event was held for the second time in the international T2 segment of the passenger terminal, where the modern ‘DMEMED’ medical centre is located.
This time, the donor movement attracted both airport staff, colleagues from partner organisations, and representatives of the government services based at the airport. There were also some passengers who wanted to take part in the campaign.
“The Donor Day is an important part of the airport's social policy. We actively support donation, as it directly affects the availability of necessary blood components for those in need in our region. Many of our employees donate blood regularly. With our participation, we make a significant contribution to safeguarding health and well–being of broader society," says Sergey Makhnev, the Head of Domodedovo Airport’s Medical & Social Cluster and Chief Medical Officer of the airport.
In total, about 120 people took part in the campaign. The volume of blood donated during the Donor Day initiative will provide a vital lifeline to dozens of human lives.
