Domodedovo Airport sums up results of Women’s day festive weekend
Sochi and Dubai became the most popular destinations among passengers of Moscow Domodedovo Airport during the period from 7th March to 10th March (inclusive).
Within the country, the largest passenger traffic was recorded on the route to Sochi. Novosibirsk, Irkutsk, Yekaterinburg and Kaliningrad are also among the top 5 popular destinations. At the same time, Novosibirsk demonstrated serious growth – by 25% YoY. In addition, the demand for flights to Krasnoyarsk skyrocketed (by 2.2 times), followed by significant increases from Norilsk (plus 21%) and Blagoveshchensk (plus 15%).
Dubai was the leader on international routes. In addition, Sharjah, Tashkent, Osh and Sharm el-Sheikh were in high demand. The most dynamic growth was shown by Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh, where passenger traffic more than tripled. The number of passengers on flights to Istanbul (+68%), Sharjah (+23%) and Tashkent (+18%) increased significantly.
In total, flights on more than 80 routes are operated from Domodedovo Airport by 26 airlines, with 15 destinations being unique to DME among Moscow Aviation Hub peers.
