DOMODEDOVO AIRPORT HAS NAMED MOST UNUSUAL ITEMS LEFT BEHIND BY PASSENGERS
Moscow Domodedovo Airport summed up the performance results of the Lost&Found Service in 2024. In just 11 months, the service received almost 35,000 items left behind by passengers and visitors.
The most unusual finds in the passenger terminal of Domodedovo Airport were several guitars, a balalaika, a tambourine, two medical stethoscopes, a Japanese-style chess set, a book named ‘The Hermitage’, and a construction pickaxe. Last year, among the "non-standard" items left at the airport were boxes of moss, a 25 kg bag of rice, a 50 kg disassembled cabinet, and 25 boxes of kitchen accessories for a KFC cafe.
The majority of the lost items are handed over to the Lost&Found Service during the months of peak passenger traffic – in summer, as well as during the New Year holidays. In more than 60% of cases, the owners return to pick up their belongings.
Domodedovo Airport reminds passengers that in case of loss of personal belongings, it is necessary to contact the unclaimed baggage rooms in the terminal. The Lost&Found Service at Moscow Domodedovo Airport is located in the baggage claim areas of domestic and international arrivals.
