More than 560 thousand passengers: the first results of the work of the new segment of the passenger terminal of Domodedovo Moscow Domodedovo Airport
Airport sums up the results of the first month of operation of the new segment of the passenger terminal — T2, which is designed to serve international flights. A total of 566,454 passengers and 3,509 take-off and landing operations were served by the air harbor in T2 from July 11 to August 10.
T2 is 7 floors with a total area of about 240 thousand m2. On the ground floor there is a check—in area: three islands of 28 sections and four reception desks for oversized luggage. On the second floor there is a checkpoint — customs and border control.
There are 22 boarding gates in the sterile zone T2, 16 of which are equipped with new-generation teletraps. The exits are equipped with automatic turnstiles, which allows passengers to independently pass the boarding control. To date, fourteen bars, cafes and restaurants are already operating in the departure waiting area for passengers. Also, for a comfortable stay at the airport, a new business lounge "Horizon" has been opened - a spacious and cozy priority service area with an area of 668 m2 and a capacity of 200 people, combining a sophisticated modern interior, impeccable service, as well as a children's and lounge areas with panoramic views of the apron.
Technological solutions in T2 are aimed at maximizing the reduction of passenger service time through the introduction of a multi-level service system. This approach makes it possible to prevent the intersection of passenger flows — arriving and departing travelers: the entrances and exits for these categories of passengers and guests are located at different levels of the terminal building.
