Moscow Domodedovo Airport congratulates Ethiopian Airlines on 75th anniversary since the first regular flight.

According to Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO Mr. Tewolde Gebre Mariam, «For 75 years, the airline has become a recognized global leader, demonstrating the highest growth rates among all air carriers in Africa. We are ready to strengthen our relationship and continue to work with all interested parties to improve air traffic between Russia and Africa. While congratulating you all, I would like to thank the esteemed partners from Domodedovo Airport and our passengers for their trust, loyalty and support».

Moscow Domodedovo Airport Director Andrey Pavlov said, «I congratulate the employees and the passengers of Ethiopian Airlines. Our partnership is marked by a mutual desire for a high-level of service and taking advantages of Domodedovo business model, which contributes to the development of tourist flights with connections in Addis Ababa. It is a solid foundation for the formation of a long-term success strategy of our partner on the Russian market».

In honor of the festive event, the airline conducted an excursion on board the plane Boeing 787 Dreamliner for representatives of the tourism industry.

The air harbor and the air carrier have been cooperating since December 2018. The airline operates weekly flights from Domodedovo to Addis Ababa on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Ethiopian Airlines made its first international flight to Cairo in 1946. At present, the carrier operates flights to more than 127 international passenger and cargo destinations on five continents. The fleet of the air company includes ultra-modern aircraft such as Airbus A350, Boeing 787-8, Boeing 787-9, Boeing 777-300ER, Boeing 777-200LR, Boeing 777-200 Freighter, Bombardier Q-400. The average fleet age does not exceed five years.

Ethiopian Airlines is certified as a 4-star airline and named the best air carrier in Africa according to Skytrax consulting company.
