Domodedovo Airport named “Best Airport in Europe”

Moscow Domodedovo Airport has been named the “Best Airport in Europe” with traffic from 25 to 40 million passengers for the years 2020 and 2021. The award ceremony took place at the World Annual General Assembly (ACI WAGA) in Marrakeсh, Morocco.

The award “Best Airport in Europe” is awarded based on the results of ACI's Airport Service Quality (ASQ) questionnaire, a globally recognized comparative analysis program that evaluates passengers' satisfaction during their journey through the airport. In their responses, passengers of the airport share their impressions about the check-in processes, security screening, services for passengers, infrastructure, etc.

Daniel Bukard, the Director for International Relations & Business Development at Domodedovo Airport, attended the ceremonial event, receiving the awards from Louis Felipe de Oliveira, General Director ACI World, and Oliviér Jankovec, Director General ACI Europe.

«It is a great honor to receive such prestigious awards 2 years in a row now, which fully reflect the opinion of passengers about airports. This clearly shows that we have made significant efforts during the pandemic and all of 2021 to improve the quality of service provided by DME. The awards received are an excellent motivation for all employees of Domodedovo Airport to maintain a high level of service and improve technologies», said Daniel Burkard.

Currently, Moscow Airport Domodedovo is the only airport in the Russian Federation actively participating in Airport Service Quality.

Moscow Domodedovo Airport named after M.V. Lomonosov is one of the largest air hubs in Russia. In 2021, traffic amounted to 25 million passengers. Domodedovo was chosen for flights to Moscow by members of the world's leading aviation alliances - Star Alliance and oneworld.
