Cargo traffic at Domodedovo Airport continues to grow

Moscow Domodedovo Airport summed up the work of the cargo terminal for 7 months of 2023. The cargo traffic of the air harbor during the reporting period increased by 9% compared to the same period last year and amounted to more than 42.5 thousand tons.

Among the transported cargo, unusual shipments can be noted, the total weight of which exceeded 20 tons. Thus, almost 12 tons of mammoth tusks, more than 2 tons of chocolate, 2 tons of animals and 1.5 tons of aquarium fish, as well as about 1.5 tons of musical instruments were transported through the cargo terminal. In addition, among the interesting cargo — 0.5 tons of silver products, 20 kg of diamonds and 10 kg of wedding dresses.

Domodedovo Cargo is one of the largest and most high-tech air cargo complexes in Russia. The total area of the terminal is 13600 m2. The cargo complex has specialized areas for storing explosives, valuable, radioactive and perishable goods. Increased security measures are provided for valuable cargo and special processing technologies are used. Storage is carried out using the most modern equipment.

In addition, the option of remote registration of part of the documentation and monitoring of the cargo status is available to customers on the airport's website. The cargo terminal of the air harbor provides services for accelerated and express cargo handling, as well as cargo delivery to the consignee in Moscow and the Moscow region.
